Holiday Meals Program
Since 1981, the Mount Carmel Lions Club has delivered over 16,000 meals to area residents. Special thanks from the Lions goes to John and Marie Kondisko for producing the meals and the Area Polish Cultural Club for donating the use of their hall for the dinner preparation and assembly.
Also the club would like to cite the contributions of Judy Mazeikas of Meals on Wheels, St. Catherine's Medical Center, Boyer's Market, and the numerous volunteers from the Mount Carmel, Southern Columbia, and Central Columbia area communities who help with deliveries throughout the year.
The Holiday Meals program is one of the more popular services provided by the Mount Carmel Lions Club.
The Mount Carmel Lions Club delivers Holiday Meals on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day and Easter to give the good people who normally deliver Meals On Wheels daily a chance to spend the holiday with their families and to ensure that no one is hungry on a holiday.
Lions John Kondisko, Mayor J. Kevin Jones, Jeff Kanezo and Warren Altomare coordinate the Holiday Meals program.
